At Kaiwaka Clothing, we are committed to providing our customers high-quality durable gear, and we stand behind the quality of our garments for the duration of their life. Our Lifetime Warranty Policy reflects our commitment to ensuring your satisfaction with every purchase.
Warranty Policy
1. Warranty Coverage
- We stand behind the quality of our garments for their entire lifespan. If you believe your Kaiwaka garment has defects in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it free of charge, at our discretion.
- In all warranty or replacement claims, the customer is required to provide proof of purchase date in order to process these claims.
- If the garment was purchased less than 6 months ago and has failed due to a manufacturing defect, we will replace it free of charge.
- If the garment was purchased more than 6 months ago, and the damage is deemed repairable, our experts will proceed through our free repair service. This may include fixing small rips, tears, or replacing faulty zips. If we choose to repair your Kaiwaka garment, it will be done free of charge, provided it falls within the scope of our repair policy.
- If the garment was purchased more than 6 months ago and the damage is believed to be from a manufacturing defect, our experts will make a professional judgement on a case by case basis on the best course of action.
- If the garment was purchased more than 6 months ago and is deemed unrepairable, we will explore alternative options which may include offering a discount for a replacement garment or referring the customer to our 'Garment Care Guide' for tips on prolonging the lifespan of their clothing.
2. Replacements
- Replacements will be processed by through either the retail store at the original point of purchase, or through our Kaiwaka head office.
3. Exclusions:

- Our warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, accidents or alterations.
- If a customer is unable to provide a proof of purchase date, we reserve the right to refuse processing the warranty claim.
- Kaiwaka Clothing reserves the right to refuse warranty claims for garments that do not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.
4. Process for Warranty Claims:
If you believe your Kaiwaka garment is eligible for warranty, please follow these steps:
- Contact our customer care team to initiate the warranty claim process at Sales@kaiwakaclothing.com, phone 09-431-2187, or complete this request through our online repairs form on our website.
- Provide proof of purchase and details of the issue: Provide a copy of the receipt or invoice, and details of the issue with your garment. When possible our customer care team may ask for photos of the issue / defect to decide the best course of action for that garment.
- Provide the batch number associated with your garment. This can be found on the white label.
- Our team will assess your claim and provide further instructions on how to proceed.
- If the customer is located in New Zealand, they may be asked to send the garment into Kaiwaka’s office to evaluate the defects and make a professional judgement on next steps. In doing this, we will likely ask you to complete this warranty request through completing the online repair form.
